Health IT Innovators Meet Hospitals/Healthcare Providers BluePrint Health IT Innovation Summit Speed Dating Planned for Mid West and West Coast
The second BluePrint Health IT Innovation Summit, using its speed dating format to match Health IT Innovators and Hospitals in the Mid West, is taking place in Indianapolis in October 2011. Applications are already being accepted for Health IT Innovators, Hospitals, and Sponsors for the Mid West, as well as West Coast, Summits planned for December 2011 in collaboration with HIMSS. “Ten young innovative companies that were chosen from nearly 30 applicants had the opportunity to sit down and make their pitch to 10 of the largest healthcare organizations in the northeast region,” wrote John Moore, Managing Partner, Chilmark Research on his blog. “Through speed dating sessions of 15 minutes each (in Philadelphia) and a voting and weighting process, ultimately two innovators were chosen per healthcare organization to have deeper, more meaningful discussions regarding next steps that will hopefully lead to a contract. Moore, also serving an Advisory Board member of the Innovation Summit , observed “There is a missing need in the market for bringing young innovative companies together with healthcare organizations,” and Blueprint Healthcare IT may have developed the right recipe.
