West Coast BluePrint Healthcare IT Innovation Exchange Summit
Innovator Call For Participation

CRANBURY, NJ - The BluePrint Health IT Innovation Exchange Summit Series invites early-stage Health IT Innovators seeking the opportunity to work with hospitals and healthcare systems to immediately apply for ten Innovator spots at the West Coast Regional Summit scheduled for February 2012: http://blueprinthit.com/exchange. Two regional BluePrint events in 2011 successfully matched 20 innovative companies with hospital/healthcare providers and a health insurance payer through a series of brief, structured meetings using a speed dating format and matching sessions. Building on learnings from the 2011 summits, BluePrint’s Innovation Exchange is now focused on its third regional event in Las Vegas, NV on Wednesday February 22, 2012.

The BluePrint Health IT Innovation Exchange Summit Series is aligned with the innovation programs and initiatives sponsored by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to achieve better healthcare, meaningful use of health IT, and health information exchange. It’s also been recognized by the White House and HHS as part of their Startup America initiative.

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS FEBRUARY 2, 2012.
APPLY HERE: http://blueprinthit.com/exchange

Application Process
To qualify start-up innovative health IT companies will need a ready-to-install product or service with zero to 15 installations. Innovators will register online with company information, answer a series of questions, and should supply brief talking head videos (using simple Webcam, Flip video or similar) about their company and product or service. Applications will be reviewed and rated by a national advisory board of health IT innovation experts and hospital participants. The top ten finalists will be chosen to participate in online, digital speed dating sessions, from which both innovators and hospitals will rank their most-likely partners with whom they would like to meet in matching sessions in Las Vegas.

During the registration process you will now have the ability to attach videos from YouTube. We highly recommend that you take advantage of this option as our advisory board and participants were very receptive to this new feature. The YouTube videos for innovators include a 20-second version which covers their company name and product and a 3-minute version that will give further details of who they are, what they are offering and the problem they solve. These videos should be designed as if you are speaking directly to the advisory board and hospital participants. Examples can be seen here…

3-minute: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Coyzhb3eTbI

Selection Process
Applications and videos will be rated by the BluePrint Health IT Innovation Exchange Advisory Board as well as the participating hospital/healthcare providers using the new BluePrint Health IT Innovation Exchange Online Portal. The top 10 innovative companies will be invited to participate as finalists. Finalists will have 15-minute online during the speed dating meetings with each hospital/healthcare provider prior to the event using webinar-based tools.

After completing the round of 15-minute online meetings, each innovator and hospital participant will rank their counterparts in order of most likely to least likely candidates for a match. Once all of those rankings have been reviewed, up to two matches will be announced for each participant. During an early morning session in Las Vegas, finalists will get up to two 25-minute matching sessions with the hospitals with which they were matched. These matching sessions are designed to help set milestones and continued follow up after the event.

Participating Innovators will also be promoted on the BluePrint Health IT Innovation Exchange Web site as part of a Finalist Showcase and in weekly email newsletter. Mid-West Summit Innovator Finalist Showcase:
