Speed Dating for Innovators and Hospitals ™ Print E-mail

The BluePrint Health IT Innovation Summit Series will bring together 10 healthcare technology companies and 10 healthcare providers within the framework of a “Health IT Innovation Matching System”  at each of the three Summits planned for the Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West and West Coast regions. The goal of this series is to foster 30 innovative pilot projects in 2011. The format for the Summit has been designed to provide specific guidance and maximize exposure for Health IT Innovators and Innovative Hospitals, Healthcare systems and Users of health IT in a series of “speed dating” sessions.

During the two morning Workshops at each event, attendees will discuss pathways to set a foundation for successful collaborations. This will be followed by 10 x 15 minute “speed dating” sessions to allow Hospital participants the chance for an initial evaluation of the Innovators products or services. After a lunch break, each Hospital will meet with 2 Innovators of interest from the morning “speed dating” round for 30 minute working sessions to outline a framework and next steps towards a possible implementation engagement. The day will end with “Learnings” from the event and report on matches that were fostered, followed by a closing networking reception.

The BluePrint Health IT Innovation Summit Series is aligned with current innovation programs and initiatives sponsored by HHS and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT promoting innovations and activities leading to meaningful use of health IT and health information exchange.
